The artist is a native of
Portsmouth, VA
, with a B.A. degree in Art from
East
Carolina
University
. Her art interests range from Native American to fantasy to science fiction, specializing in media, such as Star Trek, Babylon Five, Beauty and the Beast, and Lord of the Rings. Her depictions of the Star Trek cast have been displayed at conventions around the country and at several museums. The artist at one time worked for the U.S. Government, but is since retired, and currently engaged in a successful free-lance career in commercial art. She was the colorist for Robert Asprin and Mel White’s “Duncan and Mallory” graphic novel #2 for the Donning Company/Publishers; she has provided set designs for the
Norfolk
Savoyards and various dinner theaters. The artist is currently dividing her time between a Teddy Bear alphabet, an animal series entitled “Multiplicity” and illustrations for a number of fan fiction stories, based on the Harry Potter novels. The artist works primarily in colored pencil, using acrylic paint and air brush for backgrounds and special effects. The artist currently resides in Newport News, VA. |
